MLB hands down suspensions in Royals-White Sox incident

Major League Baseball has handed down multiple suspensions stemming from the bench-clearing incident between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox earlier this week.

By now, it’s well known that Royals pitcher Brad Keller hit White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson with a pitch after the youngster flipped his bat following a homer in a previous at-bat.

MLB decided to hand Keller a five-game ban while giving Anderson a one-game suspension.

Anderson’s ban is due to language he used during the bench-clearing incident. Meanwhile, Keller gets the five-game suspension for retaliation.
