If it’s two things I know, it’s Major League Baseball, and Mean Girls. I realized today, they have a scary amount in common. We may still be waiting on the day to make “fetch” happen, but I’m going to try to make this happen.
There are cliques. It’s no different comparing an area in which the people you associate yourself with cheer for the same team, as the cliques in Mean Girls. There really isn’t. I even have a map. *walk off home run, bat flip*

If you don’t wear pink, you can’t sit with us. On Wednesdays, according to The Plastics, one of their rules was they had to wear pink. This is no different for baseball. On Mother’s Day and during Breast Cancer Awareness month, they have to do the same.

“Sweatpants are all that fits me now.” Which is a lot like Mike Trout and Jesus Montero at one point in their careers. Of course, for Mike, it went straight to his neck. Which makes sense, how else is going to carry the Angels? And as far as Jesus goes…just look at the search engine that popped up when I was looking for a picture of him.
You want to be like them so you dress like them and act like them. In MLB, we buy the jerseys of our favorite baseball players, in Mean Girls, Cady Heron bought Army pants and flip-flops, and some crazy girl thought it was cute, so she bought them too.

News gets around fast. In MLB we, as fans sometimes find out about Tommy John surgeries before the guy even finds out himself. Well I’m exaggerating a little bit, but in high school the moment you told your BFF Jill something that happened to you over the weekend, the whole school knows.
