Missouri has lost starting wide receiver Dimetrios Mason, who has left the program for reasons that have yet to be determined.
PowerMizzou.com is reporting, “through multiple sources that starting wide receiver Dimetrios Mason is no longer a member of the program.” The report adds that it’s “unclear exactly when Mason’s departure occurred” and that “sources have indicated the door is not open” for Mason to return to the program.
The starting wide receiver did play last weekend against Auburn, catching two passes for 19 yards. On the season, Mason has 13 catches for 119 yards and has been the team’s primary kickoff returner.
It’s been a season from hell for the Tigers, who have been blown out the past three games after opening the season with an easy win over Missouri State. With Mason out of the program, the Tigers have just seven scholarship receivers left on the roster.
