The Minnesota Twins recalled left-hander Andrew Albers from Triple-A St. Paul to start Thursday’s series finale against the host Cleveland Indians.

Right-hander Randy Dobnak, who initially was scheduled to start Thursday’s game, was placed on the 10-day injured list with a middle finger strain on his pitching hand. The move is retroactive to Wednesday.

Dobnak, 26, had returned from the 60-day disabled list on Sept. 1 after being sidelined with the same injury.

He owns a 1-7 record with a 7.64 ERA in 14 appearances (six starts) this season and a 9-12 mark with a 4.94 ERA in 33 career games (21 starts) with the Twins.
