Minnesota Twins activate Rob Refsnyder from injured list

The Minnesota Twins reinstated outfielder Rob Refsnyder from the 10-day injured list Thursday and optioned infielder/outfielder Nick Gordon to Triple-A St. Paul.

Refsnyder, who has been out since mid-June with a left hamstring strain, batted .389 with three homers and nine RBIs during a 10-game rehab stint with St. Paul.

Refsnyder, 30, was batting .321 with two homers and 10 RBIs in 18 games with the Twins before the injury.

He is a career .230 hitter with six homers and 33 RBIs in 199 games with the New York Yankees (2015-17), Toronto Blue Jays (2017), Tampa Bay Rays (2018), Texas Rangers (2020) and Twins.

Gordon, 25, was the Twins’ first-round pick (fifth overall) in 2014 and made his MLB debut on May 6. He is batting .250 with one homer, five RBIs and five stolen bases in 37 games this season.
