Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey will not suit up when the team takes on the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field Sunday.
Additionally, he could be out “another week or two” with his hip injury, per EPSN’s Adam Schefter.
The injury is described by Schefter as “a small fracture in his left hip.” Pouncey will have a CT scan done on his hip, which will determine the length of time he will remain sidelined.
The Dolphins have been prodigiously bad at protecting Ryan Tannehill since he entered the league as a rookie in 2012. Since that time, he has endured 184 sacks.
Pouncey has been one of the only reliable offensive linemen for the Dolphins. So missing him for any amount of time will hurt the offense. This will be magnified on Sunday when Miami plays against Seattle’s vaunted defense, which features a top-notch defensive line.
Fantasy owners, beware. Tannehill and his skill position guys could be in for a long, hard day at the Link.
