After a brief return to the lineup, New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar is back on the IL. And he could be staying there for a while.

Andujar was on the IL earlier in the season with a labrum tear in his right shoulder. At the time, season-ending surgery was an option. He ultimately decided to just rehab the injury.

Now, manager Aaron Boone is saying that the injury is the same. Andujar will shortly decide whether to try more rehab or undergo the surgery.

Andujar is just one of several Yankees stars to miss time this season.

When he has been in the lineup, it’s been fairly apparent that something is not right with.

A season ago, Andujar was one of baseball’s top rookies, hitting .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs. But this year has been more of a struggle. Overall, he’s hitting only .128/.143/.128 . Andujar hit only .088/.114/.088 after returning from injury.
