Mick Jagger Campaigns for Chargers to Stay in San Diego

David J. Miller allegedly stole $3.5 million in a scam involving NFL seat licenses

Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones held a concert on Saturday at Petco Park in San Diego. Jagger delivered a message to the crowd that night about a city that he holds dear, sharing this message (via USA Today Sports):

“We are having such a great time in San Diego. “It’s so beautiful here. Why would anyone want to leave? Especially the Chargers.”

Currently, the Chargers have two possible proposals for relocation. There is a deal developed by a local task force to build a new $1 billion stadium next to their current Qualcomm Stadium. The second proposal is for a dual facility in Los Angeles that the team would share with the Oakland Raiders. Jagger obviously prefers the first option.

Anthony G. Manolatos is the press consultant for the local task force that proposed building a new stadium in San Diego. He was also the first one to post Jagger’s comment on his Instagram account.

As much as people protest the potential move, it appears that the Chargers are most likely on their way to the Los Angeles area whether their fans like it or not.
