The New York Mets have won 18 out of their last 21 games and are clearly the hottest team in MLB right now, and fans are coming out in droves to watch this team.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com noted that the Mets drew 124,477 fans to their three-game series against the Nationals over the weekend, and that orders are up 157% the past seven days, per secondary market data from Vivid Seats.

The LFGM movement is in full effect.

New York was quite recently the laughingstock of MLB, and fans were calling for the Mets to fire manager Mickey Callaway.

Suddenly, the Mets, with a record of 61-57, are only eight games out of first place in the National League East, and they are just one game out of the N.L. Wild Card.

If you want to find the genesis of this incredible run of success, it might not be a bad idea to check out what star rookie Pete Alonso shared on July 31.

Alonso was laughed off by many. But now he, and the Mets, are the ones with smiles on their faces.
