Seattle Seahawks running Marshawn Lynch was seen sporting gold cleats during warm-ups for Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots.

If you remember correctly, the NFL threatened Lynch with suspension in the lead up to the NFC Championship game if he decided to wear these gold cleats. Ultimately, Lynch decided against it.
More than anything, this is likely Lynch thumbing his nose at the powers to be in New York City. It’s hard to imagine that he will risk being forced out of action, though another fine could definitely be in the cards here.
Update: Put another one in the league’s win column. Lynch went back into the locker room prior to the game and changed to standard cleats.
