Baltimore Orioles designated hitter Mark Trumbo is “leaning toward” going under the knife for season-ending knee surgery, he told reporters on Friday.

As relayed by Roch Kubatko of MASN, Trumbo said he has another appointment next Wednesday in Northern California and that he’s getting more opinions.

Trumbo has been dealing with this knee issue going all the way back to May of this year and recently was placed on the DL due to the injury.

Appearing in 90 games this season, the slugger has managed a respectable .261 average while hitting 17 home runs and 44 RBI for the cellar-dwelling Orioles.
