Linebacker Mark Barron, who was recently released by the Los Angeles Rams, has found a new home with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pittsburgh and Barron have agreed to a two-year deal worth $12 million.
The Steelers have been missing speed in the middle of the field ever since Ryan Shazier went down with his back injury in 2017. Barron will provide at least a temporary solution to that issue.
A former safety out of Alabama, Barron converted to linebacker during his tenure with the Rams. He has tallied 628 tackles, nine sacks and eight interceptions since 2012.
