Major Fight Breaks out in Packers-Cowboys Game

Renewing a rivalry that saw these two teams go at it in previous eras, the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers found themselves in the middle of a major scrum in their NFC Playoff matchup on Sunday afternoon.

And its impact on the game was real.

Instead of third and one at the seven, the penalty on Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang set them back to a third and 16. After gaining just six yards on the following play, Green Bay pulled to within one point on a Mason Crosby field goal.

While deserving of the penalty, Lang surely didn’t help his team out here. There could also be an argument made for off-setting penalties, which would have still given the Packers third and short inside the 10.
