Lucky Whitehead arrested for DUI in Virginia

Jets WR Lucky Whitehead has suffered a broken foot.

NFL free agent Lucky Whitehead was arrested for driving under the influence in Virginia back on the 23rd of December and is due for a court date in February.

TMZ reported Whitehead was pulled over around 2 a.m. when police observed him failing to obey a traffic sign. Once pulled over, Whitehead refused a breathalyzer when police asked if he had been drinking but was arrested after they determined he was intoxicated.

Whitehead made headlines back in 2017 when he was released by the Dallas Cowboys following an arrest for shoplifting. Only, in that case, police arrested the wrong man in a case of mistaken identity.

Whitehead didn’t play a down in 2018 after being released by the New York Jets in late August after previously being waived/injured and placed on injured reserve.

During his career, the former undrafted player has caught 44 passes for 305 yards and has been utilized more on special teams than on offense.
