Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis will miss Thursday’s game at the Detroit Pistons due to a bruised right quadriceps.

Davis was noticeably bothered by his right leg during Wednesday’s 107-106 road loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.

It will mark the third game Davis has missed this season.

Davis downplayed the injury after the setback against the 76ers.

“I had a little brush burn on my knee from the court and it was like bothering me on my tights, just rubbing against it, so I just tried to pull them tights up off of it,” he said. “But I feel physically fine. I feel fine and we have a long season to go.”

Davis recorded 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots in the loss.

Davis, 27, is averaging 21.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots in 17 games this season.
