The Los Angeles Dodgers placed infielder Gavin Lux on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left hamstring strain.

Lux, 23, injured his hamstring in Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. In the top of the ninth, Lux grabbed his leg after leaving the batter’s box on a grounder.

Lux is hitting .227 with a .307 on-base percentage and six home runs in 82 games. He began the season as the starting second baseman before shifting to shortstop after Corey Seager’s injury.

In a corresponding move, the Dodgers recalled outfielder Zach Reks from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Reks, 27, is now in his third stint with the Dodgers this year. He is 0-for-4 in three games this season.

With Oklahoma City, Reks is hitting .325 with nine home runs and 31 RBIs in 43 games.
