Looming holdout? Ezekiel Elliott planning trip abroad

A recent report suggested that Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott might hold out from training camp in hopes of landing a rich contract.

If his upcoming trip abroad is any indication, Elliott won’t be there for the start of the Cowboys’ training camp on July 25.

“The Cowboys report for camp in five days. Running back Ezekiel Elliott may or may not be there,” NBC Sports’ Mike Florio noted. “Per a league source, Elliott currently is believed to be making plans for a trip out of the country.”

This tells us a story of a man that doesn’t have football on his mind. While it’s not known where Elliott is planning to go, he likely won’t be at The Star when camp opens on Thursday.

This all comes with Elliott being the subject of a criminal investigation in Las Vegas following an incident earlier in the offseason.
