New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone got into it big time with the home plate umpire during Thursday’s game after Brett Gardner was called out on strikes. The resulting rant by Boone was absolutely legendary, as was Gardner’s hilarious response in the dugout as it all went down.

Among the things Boone said to the ump was the phrase, “My guys are f***ing savages in that f***ing box.”

Ultimately, Boone was ejected for his tirade.

After the Yankees pulled out the 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, their social media team took the opportunity to troll the heck out of the ump on Twitter while using that phrase to do it.

If you weren’t already a fan of Boone before Thursday’s game, there’s a good chance you might be now. The way he rushed to Gardner’s defense, and the sound argument he laid out to the ump, was as good as it gets.
