Prior to Sunday’s game between the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers, two planes flew above the StubHub Center letting us know that some San Diego fans are still quite bitter about the Chargers move.
The first one brutally and brilliantly mocked Los Angeles owner, Dean Spanos, while also getting a shot in at Oakland owner, Mark Davis.
Plane 1 – Dean Spanos gave the Raiders an extra home game every single year by moving to LA. I went to PLENTY of Raiders/Chargers games in SD where there were more Chargers fans then Raider fans… but this will never happen in LA. #16awaygames pic.twitter.com/St6aPsz6xc

The second was more of a pure shot at Spanos.
Plane 2 – Victor Lopez of El Poll Grill purchased this plane. He went viral last year after announcing the Spanos taco, a free taco whenever the #Chargers lose a game. He's a true die hard San Diego Sports fan who would never root for a LA team, unlike others. pic.twitter.com/YJLdQ2rDul

Understandably, this hostility from the folks in San Diego doesn’t seem to be going away.
Additionally, given the consistent high concentration of opposing fans at Chargers’ “home” games, the Spanos-led Chargers haven’t exactly been embraced in their new digs, either.
