It’s pretty stunning to see the ad so prominently displayed on an NFL stadium, especially given it features a cannabis leaf.
Remember, the NFL still lists marijuana as a banned substance — though, the league appears to be open to a change on that front.
For what it’s worth, there is plenty of good science behind the study of CBD (cannabidiol, which is derived from hemp and cannabis plants) that shows it is a promising alternative to opiates, which the NFL currently uses as its go-to medication for players playing through pain.
