LOOK: Rams star Aaron Donald not happy about the release of Todd Gurley

Aaron Donald Todd Gurley

The last thing the Los Angeles Rams need is an unhappy star on their hands. Alas, that could very well be the case. Los Angeles announced the release of All-Pro running back Todd Gurley on Thursday, shocking the football world in the process.

About as cap crunched as any team in the NFL, This moves saves around $10 million against said cap. In no way does help current members of the Rams, star defensive tackle Aaron Donald included.

The two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year took to social media to react with a single emoji. It’s clear he is not happy.

To be fair, the release of Gurley and fellow former Pro Bowler Clay Matthews can’t be sitting well with proven Rams players. It is not going to help Los Angeles unseat the defending conference champion San Francisco 49ers in the NFC West.

Donald has had his previous contract issues with the Rams. However, it’s highly unlikely the team even thinks about moving on from him.
