While the 2019 season hasn’t gone how he hoped, Cleveland Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t letting it bring down his spirit for the holiday season. Before Sunday’s game, OBJ showed off his enthusiasm for this time of year with Christmas-themed cleats.
Beckham Jr.’s cleats capture this time of year perfectly with lots of green and red. Of course, what makes it even more special is the candy cane lettering on the sides of the shoes.
It would have been understandable if the star receiver turned into “The Grinch” with everything that has happened this season. He has played through a painful sports hernia injury all year, only found the end zone twice and reports keep suggesting he’s unhappy in Cleveland.
Yet, Beckham Jr. retains his spirit for the holidays and even remains in the gift-giving mood. Hopefully, Cleveland’s front office gifts him some more help on offense in the 2020 NFL Draft so he can thrive next season.
