As the LSU Tigers dominated the Oklahoma Sooners in the CFP Semifinal on Saturday, many football fans began to turn their attention to LSU’s potential opponent in the national championship. It turns out, LSU’s Twitter account looked ahead to with a surprise follow during the game.

During Saturday’s domination over Oklahoma, @LSUfootball threw a follow to Ohio State’s football Twitter account (@OhioStateFB) before the third quarter of the Peach Bowl even ended.

It’s hard to blame LSU for looking ahead at this point. The Tigers have proven they are the superior team in this matchup. Joe Burrow dominated Oklahoma’s defense and lit up Twitter with a seven-touchdown performance in the first half. LSU is the superior team and some early preparation, even if it’s just following a Twitter account, is understandable.

The Tigers are minutes away from celebrating a trip to the national championship and it might only be a matter of time before their recent follow joins them.
