It was a few years ago that former Cincinnati Bengals second-round pick Jeremy Hill was among the most-promising young running backs in the NFL.

The LSU product averaged north of 1,100 total yards and 10 touchdowns in his first three seasons, from 2014-16.

He’s now nothing more than a journeyman after having sat out all of last season. Two days after officially inking a free-agent contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, Hill was released by the team. Hill made the announcement himself on social media with a great reaction.

A few minutes later, it was reported that the Raiders did in fact move on from the 27-year-old Hill. His release comes one day after fellow free-agent signing Devontae Booker was activated off the Raiders’ COVID-19 injured list.

Hill last suited up in an NFL game for the New England Patriots back in 2018, attempting just four carries in the process.
