LOOK: Hardly anyone showed up to watch Pac-12 Championship Game

Just minutes before kickoff Friday night, and hardly anyone was at Levi’s Stadium for the Pac-12 Championship Game between Utah and Washington.

Here’s a picture showing how empty the stadium was.

On the one hand, it’s kind of understandable that hardly anyone showed up. It’s Friday night and early at that, and the stadium in Santa Clara is notoriously difficult to get into during rush hour traffic.

On the other hand, this shot really does highlight little this game matters in the grand scheme of things nationally. Sure, the winner earns a trip to the Rose Bowl, but the Pac-12 was eliminated from playoff contention last weekend, and so there’s not much more at stake.

Regardless, this is an awful look for the conference.
