LOOK: Cubs host inspiring young girl at Wrigley Field

Growing up, many kids dream of either changing the world or taking the mound in a big league ballpark when they grow up. In the case of 9-year-old Marie Marcum, she has now already done both.

Marcum, who called out Chuck E. Cheese when one of its baseball games told her “there’s always softball” after she didn’t get a high score, took a trip to Wrigley Field to hang out with the Chicago Cubs before Friday’s game.

Marcum took to the mound and showed everyone, including Chuck E. Cheese, that she is more than capable of slinging the baseball with some heat on it.

It’s great to see the Cubs reach out to her and turn an unfortunate situation into an amazing experience that she will never forget.
