LOOK: BYU going retro against Washington Saturday

The BYU Cougars are coming off a stirring upset win over USC this past Saturday. The program is now looking to rekindle its glory days by going completely retro for this week’s outing against Washington.

BYU announced on Tuesday that it will be wearing its retro white and royal uniforms with matching helmets for the game.

Not only that, LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo will get into the action.

This will certainly remind older BYU fans of simpler times. The diamond-shaped patterns in the end zones are absolutely legit.

BYU used this field at times during the glory years when Jim McMahon and Steve Young were tossing the rock around the old ball yard. It’s pretty awesome to see the program go back to its roots once again.
