Le’Veon Bell once again skips Jets voluntary workouts

Le’Veon Bell once again was a no-show for voluntary workouts as the New York Jets continued their offseason program on Thursday.

Obviously, the veteran running back is not required to be there. Voluntary means voluntary, Bell recently made it clear he would be sticking to the same pattern for the offseason that he utilized as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, there have been rumblings already that the Jets are having issues with Bell’s absence after they shelled out so much money to land him in free agency.

The bottom line is that every practice session helps a young team come together. This is especially true of a team that is under the guidance of a first-year head coach who’s bringing an entirely new offensive system with him.

Bell doesn’t have to be there. But it sure couldn’t hurt if he was.
