New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell had himself a rather busy offseason. It started with him inking a lucrative long-term deal in Jersey after sitting out all of last season as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers

However, it was an incident at his home in Florida two months ago that made headlines. Bell was allegedly the victim of a heist committed by two girlfriends that included the theft of $520,000 in jewelry.

In talking about the incident during the first day of training camp, Bell said “everyhing got handled.” While the items were never returned to him, he did have an insurance policy out on them.

Bell was also pretty frustrated over the incident in question, as the two girlfriends allegedly stole from him after he left them naked in his bed to go work out.

“Obviously, it was frustrating when I first heard about it,” Bell told reporters, via NJ.com. “It was a little frustrating. But at the same time, everything got handled. So I’m fine. It was just frustrating when it happened, but I’m OK.”

There’s certainly a moral to this story. But we will leave it at that.

The good news? Everything seem to be just fine on the Bell front as he enters his first season with the Jets. A few lost valuables doesn’t change that.
