Doris Burke COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the United States and the rest of the world right now has hit the NBA pretty hard.

Even after news that Utah Jazz teammates Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have overcome this virus, the extent of its impact on the Association is not fully known.

We now have more evidence that proves this point. Legendary ESPN NBA announcer Doris Burke revealed to colleague Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday that she has in fact tested positive for COVID-19.

Burke explains her symptoms and provides a warning to others on Woj’s most-recent broadcast.

Liked by fans and players around the NBA, the 54-year-old Burke is seen as a trailblazer in her profession. We wish Burke the best as she attempts to beat this virus. We know she’ll come out stronger in the end.
