LeBron James will shut down social media again for playoff run

LeBron James

As he’s done in recent years, Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is going “Zero Dark Thirty” on social media when the 2018 NBA Playoffs begin.

James spoke with Bleacher Report and confirmed he’ll eschew social media throughout the postseason.

“My focus hasn’t changed,” James said. “[The current social media climate] doesn’t matter to me. We all know how this season has been. With our ball club and all the noise that’s either irrelevant or relevant—whatever the case may be—for me, maintaining my focus hasn’t changed.”

Last season, James made his announcement on Twitter, featuring some pretty sweet artwork.

The King is certainly focused on achieving his personal and team goals. Heading into the season’s final regular-season game, he’s set to achieve a new milestone that’s pretty crazy in this day and age.

The Cavaliers are currently the No. 4 seed in the east with a record of 50-31. A win by Cleveland and a loss by the Philadelphia 76ers would vault them into the No. 3 seed. But at this point, it probably doesn’t matter really where the Cavs end up in the seeding. If James can keep plugging away like he has all year, they have a shot to win the conference and make yet another appearance in the NBA Finals.
