Jacksonville Jaguars Pro Bowl edge rusher Yannick Ngakoue remains a holdout from training camp and has not signed the franchise tag tender they placed on him during the spring.

This comes with less than a month remaining until Jacksonville’s opener against the Indianapolis Colts. It also comes with Ngakoue having requested a trade from the team.

It now appears that things are quiet on the trade front. Although, one aggressive team still remains in on the star pass rusher.

Las Vegas Raiders still in on Yannick Ngakoue

As NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport notes, no trade is imminent. This doesn’t mean something can’t happen between now and the opening Sunday of the 2020 NFL season Sept. 13.

Jacksonville is still looking to trade Ngakoue. The Raiders have interest in the up-and-coming Pro Bowler.

Yannick Ngakoue stats tell us a story of an elite pass rusher

A third-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2016, Ngakoue has recorded 85 quarterback hits and 37.5 sacks in four NFL seasons. he earned a trip to the Pro Bowl as a sophomore and has played at the same level each of the past two seasons.

Any move to acquire the stud edge rusher would require a whole heck of a lot in return. Jacksonville has not lowered its asking price for the veteran, leading to the situation we’re seeing today.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this. Las Vegas has two young edge rushers in that of Maxx Crosby and Clelin Ferrell. Adding Ngakoue to the mix would be big for this team.
