LaMelo Ball says he’s being recruited by USC and Kansas

There’s a darn good chance that the youngest Ball son will be starring at a top-notch college basketball program here soon.

Considered by some to be the most-talented of the trio, 17-year-old LaMelo Ball has been dominating the high school ranks at SPIRE Institute in Ohio.

How good has he performed? According to Ball himself, both the Kansas Jayhawks and USC Trojans have already recruited him. Ball made the comment in the latest episode of Ball in the Family on Facebook.

“Oh, I’m going for sure now,” LaMelo said. “I actually talked to USC two days ago, talking to KU.”

Ball had previously shown interest in playing college ball at Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and North Carolina. He was also spotted on campus at USC this past December.

It’s not yet known if any of these top-end programs will actually offer Ball a scholarship. He just recently reenlisted in high school after a failed pro career in Lithuania.

Standing at 6-foot-5, Ball already has the size of a traditional two guard. It will be interesting to see what comes of this over the next few months.

Though, it does appear that interest in the younger Ball is ramping up in the college basketball circles.
