Lakers looking to bring in former Knicks HC Jeff Hornacek?

Jeff Hornacek

The Los Angeles Lakers are doing everything possible to build an elite coaching staff under the recently hired Frank Vogel.

That already includes the team bringing in former NBA head coaches Jason Kidd and Lionel Hollins.

Now, according to Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News, former New York Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek could be the next hire.

A star with the Suns, Sixers and Jazz during his playing days, Hornacek has been a coach around the NBA since 2011.

He first served as an assistant in Utah before being named the Suns head coach in 2013 and ultimately moving on to the Big Apple in 2016.

Hornacek has posted a pretty bad 161-216 mark in parts of five seasons. None of his teams earned a playoff spot.

Even then, his experience would come in handy for the Lakers.
