When the Los Angeles Lakers won the Anthony Davis sweepstakes, NBA oddsmakers immediately made them heavy favorites to win the 2020 NBA title. Heading into free agency, the hype train is still running at full speed.
According to Caesars Palace (via B/R Betting), the Lakers are +300 favorites to win the 2020 NBA title. Behind them, the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers are tied at second (+600) with the Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets tied for fourth (+800).
It’s pretty wild that the Lakers are still being seen as favorites. The NBA rumor mill has indicated the Clippers are going to be the team many top free agents favor over their Los Angeles counterpart.
That said, the latest rumor surrounding two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard may just tip the scales in the Lakers’ favor.
