It’s already known that the Los Angeles Lakers are going to go big game hunting this summer. The team is already said to be interested in the likes of Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard.
If the Lakers were to strikeout when swinging for the fences, Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington suggests that Wizards star Bradley Beal could be an alternative.
“Bradley Beal could maybe be in play for the Lakers right there,” Miller reported. “If the Lakers strike out on all of those top-tier free agents and they need an All-Star and they need a two guard, Bradley Beal is a whole hell of a lot better than Jarrett Culver.”
The scenario here is that Los Angeles would flip the fourth overall pick and another piece to Washington for Beal. It would not be a bad consolation prize.
Beal, 25, averaged a career-best 25.6 points to go with 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists this season. He also shot at a robust 48% from the field.
This makes the Wizards a good trade partner for LeBron James and the Lakers.
