The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly claimed Kostas Antetokounmpo, the younger brother of NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, off waivers.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reported on this news Sunday afternoon.

After playing college ball at Dayton from 2017-18, Antetokounmpo was the last overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers then traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Last season, after spending time with Dallas’ G-League affiliate, Antetokounmpo made his official NBA debut in March. He played two games with the Mavericks last season, averaging 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds in 11 total minutes of work.
