One of the biggest trades in modern NBA history might be on the verge of going down here soon.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are currently engaged in trade talks with the New Orleans Pelicans surrounding All-NBA big man Anthony Davis.

There’s not a lot of particulars available here outside of the fact that Los Angeles is making the No. 4 overall pick in next week’s NBA Draft available in Davis trade talks.

The Lakers can’t pull off a two-team trade with New Orleans until the start of the new league year in July. In turn, the team has been looking to get a third squad involved.

As of right now, Los Angeles is overwhelming favorites to land Davis in a trade. Davis’ reps have also noted that any deal sending the big man to Boston would come with the caveat that he’d play only one season for the Celtics.

Stay tuned, there’s a whole lot more set to break on this massive story as the NBA prepares for what promises to be a busy offseason.
