Kyle Shanahan not concerned over 49ers’ poor performance

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan

The San Francisco 49ers’ first-team offense was all out of sorts Monday night against the Denver Broncos.

Starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo completed 1-of-6 passes for exactly zero yards and threw a ghastly interception in three possessions. The 49ers’ offense did nothing to instill confidence heading into an all-important Week 3 preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite this, head coach Kyle Shanahan is not concerned about what he saw Monday night.

It’s true that the sample size was small. However, what we saw from San Francisco’s first-team offense was about as ugly as it gets.

The 49ers will have an opportunity to turn this around rather quickly when they visit Kansas City Saturday evening. It’s going to be their last real tune up of the preseason. The pressure is squarely on Garoppolo and Co.
