Michigan State’s Kyle Ahrens went up for a rebound and came down hard, and awkwardly, on his left ankle during Sunday’s Big Ten Championship Game. The result was a horrific injury that was so gruesome we’re not going to show it here.

The players and coaches on both sides were in tears, along with Ahrens, after witnessing the awful injury firsthand.

When Ahrens was carted off the floor, and as he lifted his arm and pounded his chest all in attendance cheered him on.

The support the young man received, both live and on social media, was overwhelming.
