More than 10 months after he suffered a torn ACL, New York Knicks star power forward Kristaps Porzingis is making good progress in his recovery from left knee surgery and will be re-evaluated later this season.
The 23-year-old forward continues to improve and make steps forward in his rehabilitation and the team will have him re-evaluated in mid-February.

New York started prepping for the real thought it could be without Porzingis for the entire 2018-’19 season. Now it appears the impending restricted free agent could have a chance to step back onto the court late into the regular season.
At the very least, it’s clear Porzingis is out until the All-Star Break. Given how important Porzingis is to this team and the need to protect himself as he could hit free agency, it might be best for both sides to sit him down for the entire season even if he is cleared medically.
