Kris Dunn refusing to workout unless it’s against Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram or Jamal Murray

One of the top players in the upcoming 2016 NBA Draft, Kris Dunn, has set up some rather curious demands for teams wanting to work him out.

According to Chad Ford of ESPN, Dunn has yet to workout with any NBA team, just over one week before the draft.

“He’s refusing to do 1-on-none workouts with teams,” Ford reports. “Will only workout for teams if it’s against Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram or Jamal Murray source says.”

We can all appreciate the young man’s desire to test himself against the best, but this could be taking things a bit too far. Perhaps he believes that he’ll vault ahead of that trio, should he get a one-on-one with one or all of them

Ford notes that Dunn is projected to be drafted anywhere from No. 3 to No. 8 and that the “Sixers, Lakers, Celtics, Wolves, Pelicans and Kings have all shown interest” in him.

The 6-foot-4 guard out of Providence is a terrific two-way player. As a junior last year for the Friars, he averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Though not a phenomenal outside shooter, he’ll push for playing time immediately no matter where he lands.

It will be interesting to see if he remains staunch in his desire to workout against Simmons, Ingram and Murray or nobody as the draft creeps closer and closer. It could potentially hurt his stock if he enters draft night without having worked out for a single team.
