Kobe Bryant’s widow to receive $200 million from BodyArmor

Kobe Bryant

Our hearts still go out to Vanessa Bryant months after her husband, Kobe, and daughter, Gianna were killed in a tragic helicopter accident in Southern California.

Mrs. Bryant has broken our hearts with some passionate and equally sad social media posts since her husband and daughter left this life prematurely.

This won’t bring them back in any way. And it’s minor in the grand scheme of things. But Mrs. Bryant is set to get a $200 million in inheritance stemming from her late husband’s initial $5 million stake in BodyArmor.

“I lost a dear friend. I lost a brother with Kobe and BodyArmor lost a founding father,” BodyArmor founder Mike Repole told Fox Business. “Kobe Bryant’s fingerprints are all over the BodyArmor brand. The brand wouldn’t be in the position it’s in if Kobe wasn’t a believer back in 2012 and 2013.”

Repole sold a significant equity stake in the brand to Coca-Cola back in 2018. It’s a deal that valued his company at a cool $2 billion. When the transaction closed, Bryant’s stake was worth an estimated $200 million.

It’s a goal of every person in the world to leave their spouses better off should they tragically pass away. Bryant obviously did that.
