Former Washington Redskins quarterback and Michigan State alumnus Kirk Cousins will be returning to the nation’s capital to watch his Spartans take on LSU in the Sweet 16 Friday evening.

Cousins posted as much on social media.

While it’s absolutely great to see Cousins root on his former college, we’re now left wondering what could possibly go wrong here.

It’s not like Cousins left Washington on the best of terms after signing a record-breaking contract with the Minnesota Vikings last March. Embroiled in a contract stalemate with the Redskins’ brass, Cousins failed to deliver on the field.

How will those in D.C. react to Cousins’ presence? Will he be shown on the Jumbotron? So many questions. So few answers. If the responses to Cousins’ tweet are any indication, it’s not going to be great.

“You like that?”
