Kirk Cousins has mighty high praise for traded former Vikings WR

It’s by now well known that there was a contentious relationship between former Minnesota Vikings teammates, quarterback Kirk Cousins and wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Said relationship culminated in a divorce once the Vikings traded Diggs to the Buffalo Bills in a blockbuster last month.

In talking about this for the first time with the media, Cousins had nothing but great things to say about Diggs.

On the surface, this seems to be a shot at current Vikings top receiver Adam Thielen. Though, stats back up Cousins’ claim.

A fifth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2015, the 26-year-old Diggs averaged north of 70 receptions and nearly 1,000 yards per season with Minnesota.

A malcontent during the latter stages of his career with the team, Diggs displayed outward frustration in Cousins’ direction this past season. Despite that, it appears that the Pro Bowl quarterback holds no ill-will. That’s what we’d call maturity.
