Kirk Cousins drug tested at his in-law’s house

Kirk Cousins could earn $25-plus million on a new, long-term deal.

The National Football League sure wants to make sure that its players are staying off drugs during the offseason.

Fresh off signing a large franchise tag tender with the Washington Redskins, quarterback Kirk Cousins found himself on the receiving end of a surprise drug test this week.

The kicker? Cousins was at his in-law’s house at the time of the test:

“Drug Test Diaries: My inevitable off-season drug test occurred this morning with a knock on my door at 6:45 am,” Cousins wrote on Sqor. “The tester’s last words to me before the collection: ‘You can’t give me too much’. The final curveball was a leaky beaker which forced a re-fill. You can only imagine the mess created at my in-laws home. #DrugFreeSport #JustSayNO”

Well, that’s a bit embarrassing right there. Let’s just hope Cousins didn’t make his in-laws clean up the mess in the bathroom. That would be the definition of him letting money get to his head.

As it relates to Cousins’ history of being tested by the NFL, this type of situation isn’t foreign to him:

I can just hear Cousins’ father-in-law right now. “Why were you in the bathroom with that strange man, Kirk?”

Talk about awkward.
