NBA rumors: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving to Nets ‘pretty much done?’

The NBA rumors swirling ahead of free agency have flowed freely, and many have connected Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to the Brooklyn Nets.

On Thursday, Stephen A Smith said on his ESPN radio show that Durant and Irving to the Nets was “pretty much done.”

Durant, of course, has been connected to pretty much every single prominent team expected to be pursuing a max contract player in free agency. The latest rumblings suggest he could re-sign with the Golden State Warriors, but as Adrian Wojnarowski recently wrote, Durant and his agent are keeping a tight lid on things.

As far as Irving goes, there has been much more consistency surrounding the rumors about where he’ll land. Nearly all of the major NBA insiders have reported Irving will, in fact, sign with the Nets.

So, if Durant and Irving really do want to team up, it seems Brooklyn would be the most logical fit.
