The man piloting the helicopter that crashed in Southern California Sunday morning, killing Kobe Bryant and eight others, is well known among the stars.

Ara Zobayan was also well respected as an aviator and a man. His loss has been felt around the sports community since Sunday’s tragic accident.

In talking about Mr. Zobayan, Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard said that he’s flown with the pilot a lot and called him one of the best in the business.

Leonard went on to note that he’s undecided whether he’ll ever fly in a helicopter again following the tragic death of Mr. Bryant and his teenager daughter, among seven others.

It’s obvious that Bryant’s tragic death at the age of 41 has impacted the sports world. For many of these stars, it hits home big time.

The reigning NBA Finals MVP is no different.
