Kansas hosted TCU Saturday, ultimately losing by one point, 24-23. That said, a glorious Kansas hook and ladder gave the Jayhawks a chance to win.
It was 4th-and-22 for Kansas late in the fourth quarter, and the Jayhawks were at their own 31 yard line. That’s when quarterback Ryan Willis completed a pass to Steven Sims Jr. He promptly lateraled to a streaking Bobby Hartzog Jr., who took it the rest of the way to convert the improbable first down.

A couple of plays later after Willis connected with Sims again, this time for 23 yards, Kansas had a shot to win the game.
Unfortunately, Matthew Wyman’s 54-yard field goal attempt was off the mark.
As such, TCU escaped with a win by the thinnest of margins, but the Kansas hook and ladder play will still be one we remember for a while.
