Champion Kansas is part of a packed field for the 2023 Maui Invitational, which also includes Gonzaga, UCLA, Tennessee and Purdue.
The Thanksgiving Week event was played in Las Vegas in 2021 but is scheduled to return to Lahaina Civic Center in Maui for 2022 with Arizona, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Texas Tech, Louisville, Ohio State, San Diego State and Creighton in the field. In 2020, the event was played without fans in Asheville, N.C.
Kansas kicks off nearly every season with the Champions Classic in mid-November, the national showcase featuring Duke, Michigan State and Kentucky.
Gonzaga (1), Kansas (1), Tennessee (3), Purdue (3) and UCLA (4) were top-seeded teams in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
